  • Sully’s career began with curiosity and a kitchen nail — literally — fixing his sister’s abandoned guitar as a kid. Years later, that same curiosity led him from tinkering on parts builds to launching Sully Guitars in 2001 and going full-time in 2014. His collaboration with Grover Jackson, his creation of the Sully’s Guitar Garage YouTube series, and his mix of humor and precision have earned him a loyal global following.

    His instruments travel the world — from Paris to Chile — but home is wherever he and Mrs. Sully happen to be. When he’s not building guitars, you’ll find him at an art exhibit, quoting Clue, or hosting a murder-mystery anniversary dinner (complete with costume changes).

    Underneath the jokes and rock-and-roll swagger is a maker who believes guitars should invite you in, not intimidate you. Sully builds for the players who know that music — like life — works best when you don’t take yourself too seriously.
