Why Attend a Boutique Guitar Showcase Event?

Boutique Guitar Showcase events offer a rare opportunity to see, hear and play exceptional handcrafted guitars in person. Players, collectors and guitar enthusiasts can compare instruments from multiple independent makers, explore different approaches to design and craftsmanship, and experience guitars that would rarely be available together in a single location.

The 20th & 21st century guitar does not stand alone, unlike the 19th century Spanish Guitar. It has picks, strings of various materials, electronic components and more. Each one affects the way the instrument responds, sounds and ultimately your entire experience is filtered through your choice of these accessories.

Explore the impact of the many interchangeable parts of the guitar experience, both on-board & out-board. From Strings, pick-ups and picks, to pedals, amplification, modellers and more.

UI (User Interface) design is the process of creating the visual layout, look, and functional elements of an interactive product, focusing on how users see and interact with shapes, buttons, icons, and menus to make the experience aesthetically pleasing, intuitive, and easy to use. It’s a crucial part of the overall user experience (UX), dealing with the specific touchpoints a user engages with, ensuring they are functional, accessible, and delightful.

A well-made instrument will last centuries. There are violins more than 400 years old still being played today. What should this mean to the current owner? Are we obliged to consciously steward these instruments into the future, knowing they will one day belong to someone else? What else should we be considering? Documents, repair records, who owned them in the past?

As many of the 20th-century guitars are being passed from one generation to the next forthe first time, there is a multitude of discussions around authenticity, notable ownership and provenance. What do we wish we had done differently, and how can we become conscious of the right choices with new instruments being made now?
