In 2015, Omer left his industrial design career to create OD Guitars, merging his design background with his love for the instrument. He is entirely self-taught as a luthier and deeply believes in the power of asking questions, sharing knowledge, and pushing boundaries.

Omer’s signature Natural Geometric™ approach fuses the aesthetics of geometry, mathematics, and organic forms with traditional tonewoods and electric guitar functionality. These chambered designs aren’t just visual—they shape the tone, weight, and resonance of the instruments, giving OD Guitars their distinct sonic fingerprint. Every curve is intentional, and no guitar is ever exactly like the last.

He builds primarily for players in the heavy metal and progressive music communities, with custom guitars in the hands of artists like Roman from Jinjer, Daniel Tompkins of TesseracT, and others who seek instruments that perform under extreme demands—visually and sonically.

A maker at heart, Omer sees his work as art, not just function. “If I can’t be original, then there’s no point in making more of the same,” he says. “We’re artists—we need to express ourselves and share it with the world.”

When not in the workshop, Omer is a dedicated LEGO enthusiast (an AFOL—Adult Fan of LEGO) and has been building since he was three. His passion even landed him and his son Lenny in an official LEGO commercial in 2022, where he built and—reluctantly—smashed LEGO replicas of his guitars.
