  • Mayones Guitars & Basses was founded in 1982 by two friends and quickly became a family enterprise, led by Halina and Zenon Dziewulski. What began in a small garage workshop in Gdańsk, Poland, grew into one of the most respected boutique instrument brands in the world.

    From those early days, the workshop wasn’t just a place of business — it was a home. Their sons, Dawid and Tomasz, grew up among sawdust, solder, and the soulful resonance of wood and wire.

    Over four decades later, Mayones remains proudly family-owned, and that authenticity flows through every guitar and bass they craft.

  • Dawid, the older of the two, took to the rhythm of the shop early. Curious, driven, and deeply hands-on, he naturally gravitated toward the creative direction of the company. By 1999, he officially stepped in as CEO and co-owner, guiding Mayones into the global spotlight with bold designs, international trade shows, and the creation of Velvetrone — a new sonic identity powered by in-house pickups. To this day, he remains closely connected to the instruments, believing every guitar should reflect both soul and precision.

    Tomasz, quieter in nature, has always found meaning in the details. Where Dawid leads with vision, Tomasz grounds it with craft. His role in Mayones is less public but equally vital — ensuring each instrument meets the standards set in that original garage, where he first watched his parents shape wood into music. For Tomasz, the workbench is still where he feels most at home.

    Together, the brothers balance tradition with evolution. Their bond — as siblings and as co-creators — is felt in every instrument that leaves the shop. Mayones is not just what they build. It’s who they are. And through Dawid’s ambition and Tomasz’s quiet devotion, the story continues — one guitar at a time.
