“…we blend vintage spirit with experimental ideas to build tools of great appearance, perfect playability, and inspiring possibilities...”

  • Deimel Guitarworks is the collaboration of luthier Frank Deimel and artist Kora Jünger, dedicated to crafting handcrafted electric guitars that merge vintage inspiration with modern innovation. Founded in Berlin in 1998, the workshop was built on Frank’s vision of giving musicians an unimpeachable tool that also reflects their unique artistic identity. (Read More)

Drawing from classic 1950s and ’60s design cues, Deimel guitars retain the soul and familiarity of vintage instruments while integrating new ergonomic concepts, experimental electronics, and bold artistic expression. Their two flagship models—the Deimel Doublestar and the Deimel Firestar—embody this blend: the Doublestar offering compact symmetry and powerful sustain, and the Firestar opening the door to extended string length, wide-spectrum pickups, and exploratory switching systems.

Kora’s pop-art-infused visual language brings sociopolitical themes, bold colors, and hand-painted narratives onto the instruments, making each one a sculptural statement as much as a musical tool.

Since 2015, Deimel Guitarworks has been based in the nature reserve Naturpark Märkische Schweiz, where Frank and Kora continue to evolve their craft—combining tradition, creativity, and cultural awareness into some of the most distinctive electric guitars of our time.

“From the moment I held that broken SG, I knew I wanted to create instruments that carry identity, emotion, and the freedom to express who you really are.”

  • Influenced equally by vintage instruments, punk and alternative music, and the cultural freedom of Berlin after the fall of the Wall, Frank developed a unique approach rooted in both tradition and rebellion. His studies in industrial design, early hands-on experience at Warwick, and years immersed in Berlin’s underground music scene shaped him into a builder who sees the electric guitar not just as an object—but as a tool for identity, expression, and sometimes political commentary.

Today, Frank is known as one of Europe’s most original modern luthiers: blending classic lines with experimental electronics, offset aesthetics, and conceptual art. Together with his partner, artist Kora Jünger, he creates guitars that mirror the player’s individuality while offering inspiring new sonic possibilities. From his workshop in the Naturpark Märkische Schweiz, Frank continues to push the instrument forward—one idea, one design, one sound at a time.
